Birth Reflections Lead Midwife

Maintains effective working relationships with all staff including medical staff, general practitioners, health visitors, independent midwives and staff from other Trusts. Demonstrate specialist skill and professional knowledge acquired through post registration academic, clinical, leadership and management development. Work as an excellent role model for professional practice. Responsibility to ensure that all midwives caring & facilitating care to women affected by trauma and who are under the care of the Perinatal Mental Health team or maternal psychiatrist, have a management plan where applicable to safeguard & appropriately plan intrapartum care. Be responsible to drive the trauma informed care agenda forward in line with the NHS long[1]term Plan. Post holder to take responsibility/ownership and oversight of clinical audit relating to trauma related care and implement strategies to improve a streamlined approach to the care provided. Supports and advises junior staff on midwifery
