Bladder and Bowel Health Care Support Worker

The continence service provides care and support to adults and children within NEL who have a bladder or bowel problem. They liaise closely with community nursing colleagues, care home staff and GPs to ensure appropriate care is delivered. The Continence Service also provides education to other healthcare professionals to enable a high standard of clinical care to be delivered across disciplines within Care Plus Group.

Salary Range 3 £22,566 pro rata per annum Fixed Point (pay award pending)

The Bladder and Bowel service offers specialist advice, support and treatment to children, young people and adults with complex continence problems providing individual specialised continence assessments within the community and residential sectors living within the Nort East Lincolnshire area.

The post holder will:

Work part of the Bladder and Bowel Care team delivering level 1 bladder and bowel assessments and carrying out a range of clinical duties with minimal or no supervision delivering an holistic approach.

To carry out an assessment for incontinence products without supervision and provide education and support on how to use the recommended products to patients and their carers according to their care plan.

To undertake and successfully complete all training within the competencies that are relevant to the care of patients., £22,566 a year Range 3 - Pro Rata Per Annum (Pay Award Pending)
