Location: SE1 9SG Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 Work Hours: 40 Hours per week | Home based Contract: Full Time | Permanent How You Will Make Plan Zero Happen: Plan Zero is Mitie's initiative to achieve net-zero carbon. Our customers include some of the largest organisations in the UK, and we have already saved them over 353,000 tonnes of carbon. www.planzerocarbon.com In this dynamic role, you will play a key part in the design, integration, and optimisation of Building Management Systems (BMS). You will help achieve Mitie's goal of net zero for our clients by creating and optimising controller strategies within BMS outstations and recommending improvements for HVAC plant operations. This energy-focused role complements our BMS upgrades and Energy Performance Contracts, aiming to drive savings and improve efficiency for our clients. You will also design controller strategies for new projects, integrating different systems. Who You Will Work With: You will be part of the BMS and Energy Operation team, consisting of over 60 field and remote-based Control Engineers, Project Managers, and Energy Managers. You will work remotely from home, liaising closely with end clients and the Energy/Projects team. Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Gather information on plant and site requirements to optimise software strategies.
  • Maintain effective relationships with the delivery team to ensure seamless project/design delivery.
  • Design and configure controller strategies for Tridium N4 & Trend Building Management Systems.
  • Provide feedback on enhancing control systems and generating further investment in BMS.
  • Develop Head End graphics for BMS Supervisor stations, typically IQVision and Niagara-based solutions.
  • Create innovative controller strategies for easy adoption by commissioning teams.
  • Proactively support project tasks alongside project managers and delivery teams.
  • Deliver work within allocated time and suggest system design improvements.
  • Compile documentation/Des Ops/Manuals to support design as needed.
  • Provide technical support and remote triage for issues on new and existing solutions.
  • Commission Graphics Head End and configure alarm and user functionality to meet project scope.
  • Assist in system solution design, identifying suitable integration solutions for complex projects.
  • Seek opportunities to gain experience with Tridium, Trend, and Distech through small projects and training courses.
  • Experience & Skills:
  • Degree level education or equivalent (desirable)
  • Tridium Certified (desirable)
  • Proven knowledge of HVAC and BMS
  • Competent in Trend Expert level and confident in designing energy-biased software
  • Proficient in Niagara N4/Workbench, Trend SET tool, and IQVision
  • Able to anticipate and understand customer expectations, building strong relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Effective at managing priorities, working under pressure, and meeting tight deadlines across multiple projects
  • Results-driven with strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organisational, administrative, and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive and motivated to deliver exceptional customer service
