Bookings Administrator (Bank)

And it makes all the difference., We are currently looking for bank cover in Inpatient Bookings to cover annual leave and support the team during busy periods. As a Bookings Administrator at our Wessex Hospital, you will input theatre and outpatient bookings. You will be required to liaise with different departments within hospital, medical secretaries and patients. At times you may also be offered opportunity to help other departments. As a Bookings Administrator, you will:

• Ensure complex administration and support meets all required standards and timescales.
• Manage, appraise, and interpret data, information and /or situations.
• Handle all enquires, or queries raised efficiently and effectively, escalating appropriately where necessary.
• Ensure all data/information is entered, modified, maintained and presented accurately and efficiently using the appropriate electronic or manual system and format.
• Prepare standard and ad hoc reports as requested and required by the department.
  
  Good IT and keyboard skills.
• Good communication/interpersonal skills.
• Good organisational and analytical skills.
• Good customer service skills.
• Good knowledge and understanding of medical terminology desirable but not essential.
• Be prepared to undertake training as necessary for the role.
