Full Job Description

The Deputy Store Director is a professional in the luxury industry with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, responsible for promoting Boucheron Maison and loyalty to customers to guarantee store business goals. He/She will assist Harrods Store Director in overseeing retail excellence, team management, client development and supporting external business initiatives. He/She will support Harrods Store Director in ensuring that all the processes comply with legal, safety, internal requirements, sustainability, HR and stock organization., A Store Deputy Director, assisting the Store Director in his duties

  • Support the store manager in weekly/monthly/quarterly reports and ROTA
  • Supervise sales to ensure customer satisfaction and engagement
  • Implement action plans to achieve sales target (monthly and annually)
  • Interim authority while the Store Director is away from the store
  • Manage specific projects that the store manager will delegate
  • A partner and liaison manager of Harrods relationship
  • Be knowledgeable of all Harrods guidelines/process and relay incoming new information to the team without delay.
  • Support Harrods PR related activities like photo shoots and/ or other in-store actions like events, special client appointment, etc.
  • Create a strong relationship with Harrods personal shopping management & sales team and seek for business opportunities to maximize on sales.
  • Be the point of contact for Harrods operations and Harrods FJ management when the boutique director is not in-store, make sure to foster a relationship of trust and cooperation.
  • A Client developer, assisting sales team with all clients related actions
  • Support/Define action plans to achieve High Jewellery & jewellery sales ambition and boutique sales targets
  • Support Store Director in defining an action plan to recruit, treat, retain and/or reactivate clients and ensure they are achieved, in connection with the Maison strategy.
  • Assisting & support the team in VIC care treatments and managing prestige events
  • Contribute by his/her ideas and contact, supports implementation of prestige events and experiences in the Boutique that will enhance the Maison presence in the marketplace, attract new clients and drive sales (exposition, overnight stay, workshop, staging)
  • Inspires adoption of the new tools, encourages and monitors the progression on CRM KPIs such as prospect data collection, liaise with CRM department on all client actions, extractions and maintaining a clean database
  • A leader supporting and developing the sales team
  • Be of daily support for the team in all aspects, from people management to client & sales needs.
  • Federate the sales teams, motivate the teams by being a role model on the sales floor
  • Provide store animation and daily team briefings
  • Identify training and coaching needs and report them to the store manager
  • A retail excellence /retail operations promoter
  • Understand and comply with Boucheron security and operational procedures (POS, cash handling, product handling, inventory control, after sales, gifting, etc.) as well as promoting their understanding and respect to the rest of the team.
  • Challenge current processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop deep understanding and knowledge of brand and products and share with the team to elevate client experience
  • Responsible of merchandising, supply ordering, communication of stock needs, replacement of missing visuals and maintenance
  • A cross-function coordinator, cultivating relationship between the Boutique and the Maison
  • Implement action plans defined with the HQ and Store Director follow-up at store level
  • Liaise with other boutiques, departments and partners such as Public Relations Agency, Merchandising, Executive Offices, etc. as needed.
  • Fosters a strong team spirit with all UK boutiques and teams
  • Promote the culture of the Maison internally and externally

    High school degree or university degree (e.g. bachelor) in a business related field.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience, including 5 years in management in a retail, client focused environment.
  • Entrepreneur mindset, strong ability to multi-task and structure an environment.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Team Player mindset, ability to manage transversal projects and work with several teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to manage complex situation.
  • Strong Leadership skills and experience with training and coaching team-members
  • English fluent, written and spoken, additional language is a plus
