Full Job Description

  • Supervise and manage a team of social workers within the Children in Care (CIC) Team.

  • Ensure high-quality practice in safeguarding, care planning, and statutory responsibilities for children in care.

  • Provide regular reflective supervision to support staff development and maintain high standards of practice.

  • Work closely with families, carers, and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes for children in care.

  • Oversee the preparation of reports, assessments, and care plans for children in care, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory guidelines.

  • Monitor team performance, ensuring effective caseload management and compliance with council policies and procedures.

  • Support the team in managing complex cases, providing guidance and leadership on best practices.

    Bradford Children and Families Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Practice Supervisor to join the Children in Care (CIC) Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the care of children in the CIC team., Qualified social worker registered with Social Work England.

  • Significant experience in working with children in care, safeguarding, and staff supervision.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to support and develop a team of social workers.

  • Excellent understanding of statutory requirements, legislation, and best practices in children's services.

  • Strong decision-making and analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex cases.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with families, carers, and professionals.

    Pay Rate: £40-42 per hour (umbrella), depending on experience.
