Full Job Description

As a Brand Consultant at Harvey Nichols, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the overall shopping experience for our customers. You will be accountable for representing and promoting a specific Brand or Brands within the Store, providing expert guidance, and ensuring customers receive exceptional customer service. To develop a strong client base and build strong internal and external relationships. The role involves having a deep understanding of the Brand/Brands you are representing, strong product knowledge, and excellent customer service skills. You will be expected to be a role model to Style Advisors as well as achieving your KPI's (Key Performance Indicators).

This role involves standing, walking, and interacting with customer for extended periods of time, working weekends and evenings. As a Brand Consultant at Harvey Nichols, you will have the opportunity to represent renowned Brands and create memorable shopping experiences for our customers. Your knowledge, enthusiasm and commitment to excellence will contribute to the success of the Harvey Nichols store and the Brands you represent.

The Role:

  • Acting as the face of the specific Brand/Brands within Harvey Nichols, embodying their values, aesthetics, and ethos alongside that of Harvey Nichols Brand Values.

  • Proactively engaging with customers, providing an unforgettable experience, face to face, online, via the telephone and across all Harvey Nichols associated platforms. Delivering personalized recommendations based on their needs and preferences, educating customers about the Brand history, Designers & uniqueness to create Brand loyalty.

  • Continually updating your in-depth Brand knowledge, including products, features, and benefits to effectively assist customers.

  • To identify ways to improve Brand awareness both externally and by increasing knowledge of the Brand across Floors and Personal Shopping/Stylists. You will be expected to carry out alongside your Brand, Brand training highlighting the benefits to your colleagues around the Store.

  • Be aware of and promote all services and activities within the store by liaising with other Brand consultants, Management, and Team members within the store.

  • Consistently deliver all KPI targets set by HN management (UPT, ATV, Loyalty & Clienteling, Brand contribution)

  • CRM (Customer relationship management) - Ensure that a base of regular customers is rapidly recognised and maintained by personal contact and recognition to promote new merchandise and increase sales. Acquire and store new client contacts through HN approved platforms and ensure GDPR is followed correctly.

  • Ensure the Brand areas are well maintained and replenished, inviting, visually appealing and products displayed effectively to both Harvey Nichols and the Brand standards working with Buyers, Display, and the Brands.

  • To provide weekly Brand Trade reports to the Brand, Line managers and the Buying Team, perusing financial reports, collecting customer feedback, highlighting trends and insights and Missed Opportunities.

  • Monitor stock performance, sell-thru and follow-up with the relevant Teams where necessary.

  • To manage loss prevention by maintaining a keen awareness of Store security procedures and policies and maintain stock integrity carrying out regular stock counts as well as highlighting any stock issues with deliveries.

  • Complete all point-of-sale transactions in line with the Company's set standards and regulations to ensure that all departmental and store systems are adhered to following the Anti-money Laundering process.

  • Ensure that the Department is maintained in a safe manner, free of hazards, and that Store Health and Safety Regulations are always adhered to., Overarching Sales contribution (Multibrand sales).

  • Dedicated Brand Sales Contribution of Overall sales and % Share.

  • Clienteling - Customer acquisition target - 4 clients per month expectation by 3 months, 3-6 months 6 clients, then after 6 months 8 per period.

  • Work alongside Personal Shopping and Stylist Club to keep them informed of new Launches and product.

  • Outreach and retention (conversion%/ £ resulting from continued engagement)

  • Individual Sales Target/ATV/UPT/Loyalty targets are met.

  • Brand Targets set by Buying team - subject to stretch based on stock/sales trend.

  • Percentage to be agreed for nil picks.

  • Stock loss and stock accuracy from stocktakes, completing weekly Mini counts & investigating differences.

  • Complaints/compliments.

  • Ensuring Stockroom efficiency, cleanliness, and organisation.

  • Deliver Brand awareness training to colleagues.

  • Create an Annual plan for the Brand and how you will drive sales and Brand awareness.
