Full Job Description

Reporting to the Executive Chef, you can expect your working week to be typically start from Wednesday to Sunday 6am to 2pm (subject to business requirements) and to include the following duties.

  • To prepare breakfast for our guests inclusive of hot buffet and continental products and ingredients.
  • To anticipate demand for breakfast by responding to in house numbers and breakfast bookings.
  • To prepare all food to cover our Afternoon Tea offering.
  • To prepare and cook food to order (inclusive of room service orders) within specified time scales.
  • To work in harmony and work in partnership with the Restaurant team to ensure seamless F&B delivery.
  • To communicate effectively with F&B team members and management.
  • To communicate efficiently and proactively with the Senior Kitchen team to ensure that we are well stocked for Breakfast and Afternoon Tea.
  • To deliver food of a 5 Star quality standard in line with H&S and brand standards.
  • Be responsible for the rotation, quality and control of stock and prepared foods.
  • Execute dishes to the expected high standard quickly, efficiently and consistently.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of designated section.

    To succeed in the role of Breakfast Chef you will need the following qualities and skills.
  • The ability to manage various sections of the kitchen, whilst ensuring Health & Safety standards are met.
  • To be flexible in your approach, and able to assist the Restaurant Team, Sous Chef and any other members of the kitchen brigade when required.
  • A team player who thrives in the hustle and bustle of a busy kitchen department and collaborates well with others.
  • Someone who is passionate about food and standards.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, at either Breakfast Chef, Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie level.
  • An understanding of quality control, kitchen standards and adherence to HACCP. A food hygiene and allergen qualification is highly desirable but full training will be given.

  • Hours are 40 per week but shifts are variable, typically starting at 6am and finishing at 2.30pm.
