Full Job Description

The Whittington Health NHS Trust would like to appoint a full time (10PAs) consultant radiologist with a subspecialty interest in Breast Radiology. This would require being onsite Mondays and Fridays at the main Whittington hospital site in Archway, North London, providing general cross sectional reporting services, including hotseat cover. You will be expected to participate in the general acute radiology on-call service, with the current on-call frequency of 1 in 20 second on-call.

You will also be expected to participate in sharing onsite consultant cover to the new Wood Green Community Diagnostic Centre, hosted by the Whittington hospital, in conjunction with 7 other consultants as part of their job plan.

You will have access to a reporting workstation at home as part of a service plan to promote flexible working via home reporting.

Participation in teaching of the rotating 9 onsite UCL radiology trainees will be expected.

You should have full UK GMC registration and unrestricted/full license to practice as well as demonstrating commensurate specialist training.

Interview date: 20 November 2024.

Whittington Health serves a richly diverse population and works hard to ensure that all our services are fair and equally accessible to everyone. Nowhere is this more obvious than in the way we look after our staff. We aim to employ a workforce which is as representative as possible of this population, so we are open to the value of differences in age, disability, gender, marital status, pregnancy and maternity, race, sexual orientation, and religion or belief. The Trustbelieves that as a public sector organisation we have an obligation to have recruitment, training, promotion and other formal employment policies and procedures that are sensitive to these differences. We think that by doing so, we are better able to treat our patients as well as being a better place to work.
