Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced hands-on Brewer who will proactively be responsible for leading the direction of brewing within Lark Hill Brewery. The role takes operational responsibility for the brewing process alongside overseeing the bar operations and developing & maintaining a wholesale function.
To be successful you will need to be an experienced brewer, ideally from the perception and planning stage all the way through to the finished product. An understanding of the running of bar operations is desired and experience of developing & maintaining relations with external customers would be advantageous. You must be able to work to tight deadlines, be competent in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel, and have good verbal, written, and presentation skills. The experience to work on a variety of tasks and see this through to day-to-day business.
The post holder will form part of the management team at The Old Fire Station and be accountable for their area of responsibility ensuring sales and profit targets are achieved, alongside the correct reporting for stock and HMRC purposes.
Required knowledge, skills, and ability
Have proven experience of Brewing ensuring the consistent quality of products.
Be imaginative in the brewing process, always looking to improve the product and be market leading where possible.
An understanding of bar operations.
A customer focussed positive mind-set. You will always strive to deliver on and exceed students, staff, and visitors' expectations and understanding of desires from diverse backgrounds
Strong management and leadership skills to inspire and develop teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in written, telephone and face to face contact, with strong evidence of reporting, writing skills and experience of collating information from various sources
