Full Job Description
Lead the implementation of strategic projects, improvement initiatives and technical standards across the Brewing Department. Own department capacity standards and support the development of long term plans. Assist the Brewing Manager in developing department objectives through project, budget and target validation. SPOC for Burton Brewing Dept. in the feasibility, development and implementation of innovation and cross functional intiative. Provide technical coaching within the department as needed and support the execution of World Class Supply Chain 2.0 through a servant leader approach.,
- Project managing strategic initiatives within the brewing department, taking ownership of key deliverables such as scope definition, ensuring technical appropriateness, and delivering projects on time and within budget. As a project manager, you'll also act as a primary team member in cross-functional projects, collaborating with stakeholders across Burton Brewery, including the Central and Commercial functions, to ensure alignment and seamless execution of goals.
- Strategic collaboration and operational planning within the brewing department, working closely with the Brewing Operations Manager to ensure effective planning, execution, and continuous improvement. As a key partner, you'll focus on aligning the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) with departmental and company objectives, overseeing key performance indicators (KPIs), budget tracking, and capital expenditure (CapEx) planning.
- Play a critical part in the development and implementation of WCSC 2.0 and Technical Standards within the brewing department. This responsibility includes ownership of key technical documents and processes, such as PTS (Process Technical Standards), Technical SOPs, BOMs, and Recipe Management, ensuring they align with the latest standards and organizational goals.
- In this role, you will provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship within the brewing department, directly managing key roles such as the Brewing Optimisation Specialist, entry-level talent, and similar positions as required. Your focus will be on developing technical skills, optimizing performance, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and capability building across the team.
- Play a pivotal role in driving efficiency and ensuring high standards across the brewing department. This position demands a strong ability to prioritise tasks effectively to manage responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner. Additionally, a critical aspect of this role is maintaining adherence to all relevant safety and environmental regulations and upholding standards for food and feed safety, legality, authenticity, and quality.
Qualification in Brewing or alternative STEM subject along with relevant brewing experience - Knowledge of the brewing process
