Full Job Description

The Broker Account Handler is responsible for maintaining and developing their own customer portfolio, with a keen focus on account management, in order to capitalise on customer relationships, follow up leads and maximise the potential for growth of ARAG's Acturis account and Corporate Standalone opportunities. Reporting in to the Broker Business Manager, you will also be assisting the Broker Account Managers with new leads and opportunities as well as shadowing them on key accounts, providing assistance where needed.Your tasks

  • Personal Sales Achievement: ensure individual achievement against growth targets in respect of both your portfolio growth and standalone business from various channels.
  • Work Flow Management: plan and prioritise own work to meet company service standards and assist other internal staff where appropriate e.g. claims, product development and underwriters at point of renewal.
  • Account Handling: maintain regular and effective contact with your broker portfolio, monitoring account activity and referring potential leads to the line manager and support the wider sales team. You will also be responsible for our Quick Quote and Acturis brokers; identifying, onboarding and developing new and existing accounts.
  • Support: provide ongoing support to the Broker Sales team. For example, compiling relevant MI, taking part in ad-hoc projects and providing campaign support including the renewals process.
  • Compliance: carry out all tasks in line with stipulated processes, procedures and authority limits.
  • Learning & Development: take responsibility for own learning needs and objectives. Work closely with colleagues to progress knowledge and skills base.
  • Reporting: assist and/or complete individual and team reporting requirements and also maintain the integrity of the CRM and sales data.

    At least 2 years experience in an insurance based telesales, account handling or customer services role with a history of dealing with volume clients. You must be comfortable working with IT solutions, particularly when using Office 365. You will need to demonstrate some academic achievement (Minimum of 5 grade C/5 or above GCSE or equivalent including in English and Maths). A higher level of academic achievement up to A-level or graduate level. Cert CII qualified. History of dealing with regional and national brokers. Using or working with the Acturis platform.
