BSc Work Placement - Academy Coaching

As an Academy Coach on a student placement at Norwich City's Category 1 Academy, the successful candidates will gain hands-on experience in developing young football talent, working within a structured environment that adheres to the high standards of a Category 1 Academy. The placement will include supporting the coaching staff in delivering age-appropriate training sessions, assisting with player development, and helping ensure the overall progression of academy players in line with the club's philosophy and objectives. These are brilliant opportunities for candidates who have a desire to learn, a strong work ethic and offers an insight into future career pathways in a high performance professional sport environment. These placements are suitable for students who are looking for an industry placement for the third year of their Sports Coaching, Physical Education degree, or a related field, and who already hold a UEFA C-Licence. Norwich City Football Club will make a monthly contribution to living expenses for successful candidates throughout the duration of their placement. Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in the delivery of training sessions across various age groups.
• Observe, assess, and provide feedback on player performance.
• Help with match day responsibilities, including coaching, analysis, and post-match debriefs.
• Maintain player development records and assist with session planning.
• Promote a positive, professional environment that upholds the values of Norwich City Academy.
• Foster strong relationships with players, parents, and fellow coaching staff.
