Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join a team of Technicians associated with the Faculty of Engineering, University of Nottingham. Primarily based within Architecture and Built Environment on University Park Campus, the duties will include:

Security of building(s). Locking/unlocking procedures. Responding to alarm activations.
Setting up and maintaining teaching rooms to de-fault layout.
Reporting of building faults to the correct authority in a timely manner.
Provide supervisory support to the EEC studios, Z-Block studios, SRB, Paton House, Marmont and Lenton Firs studios.
Have authority to deal with incidents as required, with aid of Security, if necessary
Clear all studios in the 6 listed buildings starting 15 minutes before closing time and ensure doors are locked at time and date to be confirmed.
Any other duties appropriate to the role and grade of the post holder.
The post is offered on a fractional, fixed term contract until 20 June 2025. Hours of work are 22 hours per week, for 30 weeks per year. The standard hours for this post are 6pm to 10pm every weekday, 9am to 9pm weekends. Hours of work to be agreed on appointment.

Working weeks are as follows:

30th September until 13th December 2024
13th January to 28th March 2025
28th April to 20th June 2025
