Full Job Description
As a Building Surveyor within the Estates & FM team, you will be responsible for delivering a broad range of surveying services to support the ongoing development and sustainability of our estate. This includes both strategic and operational input, managing capital building projects, refurbishment schemes, and long-term maintenance planning. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that we maintain and enhance our buildings and facilities to support the University's academic and research excellence., Undertake building surveys and inspections, identifying and addressing maintenance needs. Deliver capital projects, refurbishment schemes, and planned maintenance activities in a timely and cost-effective manner. Provide expert advice on building fabric, condition, and compliance with regulations. Implement long-term estate management strategies to ensure the sustainability of the University's land, buildings, and infrastructure. Co-ordinate the delivery of planned maintenance across the estate. Support the development of budgets, financial plans, and fee structures for building-related projects. Liaise with contractors, external consultants, and suppliers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
