Full Job Description

The Facilities Engineer is responsible for the upkeep of all Engineering services on site. Working in a fast paced, dedicated and encouraging Engineering Team, the successful candidate will actively maintain and improve all equipment within the plant room (HVAC, domestic, Lab and RO water services) and ensure the facility remains compliant through internal service request requirements & contractor management.,

  • To ensure that all Site Services (HVAC, Water, temperature controls, contractors) are handled to avoid interruption to manufacturing.
  • To co-ordinate and schedule service work in line with production requirements.
  • To maintain the Engineering database - ensuring all contractors are compliant and relevant data is uploaded online with system requirements.
  • To manage the Planned Maintenance system, BMS and maintain the equipment database.
  • To use TPM/Lean tools to continuously improve processes in line with the sites Practical Process Improvement methodology.
  • To communicate with internal customers and external contractors and supervise any contract work, ensuring safe working procedures are adhered to
  • To follow all health, safety and environmental rules, policies, procedures, and any other instructions relevant to working within their area of the Company.
  • As part of your employment you may be required to undertake any other reasonable tasks or duties that are deemed to be within your capability.

    City & Guilds/BTEC ONC in Mechanical / Facilities Engineering.
  • HNC/HND in Operations or Maintenance is desirable.
  • Electrical proficiency is desirable.
  • Validated experience in facilities maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
  • IT Literacy and an understanding of Microsoft Office.
  • Be self-motivated, hard-working, driven and dedication to continuous improvement.
  • Essential Requirements :
  • Participation in an on-call rota and live within 1 hours commute of the facility.
  • Due to the nature of work we do on site, you will need to pass a full 5-year employment check & DBS check prior to commencement.
