Full Job Description

As a Building Physics Engineer specialising in energy modelling, you will play a crucial role in our engineering projects, focusing on the simulation and analysis of building performance. You will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that our designs meet the highest standards of energy efficiency, comfort, and regulatory compliance.,

  • Conduct detailed environment models and simulations to assess building performance, including energy consumption, thermal comfort, and daylight analysis.
  • Integrate MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems into models to evaluate their impact on overall building performance.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams on building physics and energy modelling.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on modelling results and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with our in-house project delivery engineers, and other stakeholders to optimise building designs for energy efficiency and sustainability.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to building physics and energy modelling.

    HNC in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5years of experience in MEP engineering and building performance modelling.
  • Proficiency in VE modelling software (e.g., IES, EnergyPlus, TAS or similar).
  • Strong understanding of building physics principles, energy modelling, and simulation techniques.
  • Experience with MEP system design and integration in building models.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certifications such as LCC, LCEA, CEng, or similar.
  • Experience with other simulation tools (e.g. BIM, AutoCAD software).
  • Knowledge of sustainable building practices and green building certifications.
