Full Job Description

You'll keep things running, we'll fast track your career as a Building Services Technician in Tutbury (DE13 9LY).   • Carry out PPM, Reactive Maintenance, and extra works requirements in accordance with set schedules.
  • Carry out minor plumbing tasks and building fabric jobs, when required.
  • Ensure standards are maintained to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the site systems.
  • Adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements.
  • Fault finding and remedial works as required.
  • Periodic inspections as per H&S Inspection matrix.
  • Assist with other PPM/extra works related tasks.
  • Attend bi-weekly site meetings and toolbox talks.
  • To provide small reports in relation to work and equipment as required.
  • Escort and supervise sub-contractors on site.

    Minimum of City & Guilds Craft Qualification Certificate (electrical / mechanical) and demonstrable experience in a trade discipline.
  • Problem solving ability in response to technical issues, fault diagnosis and solution finding.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to all levels within Sodexo.
  • Numerate and computer literate.
  • Strong sense of client focus.
  • The ability to listen to others understand and interpret their views.
  • Personal presentation must be of a high professional standard.
  • Prioritizing own workload and working under own initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to organize others.
  • Desirable:
  • PASMA/ IPAF.
  • Water L8 compliance.
  • Have held an Authorised Person (Trade Discipline Specific) Good health & safety knowledge and experience.
  • Proven background in an engineering discipline.
  • City and Guilds or equivalent in Building Services or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
