Full Job Description

  • Survey and Report Writing: Conduct comprehensive surveys and produce clear, concise engineering reports for a full range of typical core professional Building Surveying services. Ensure the reports are easily understandable for the intended audience.
  • Construction Monitoring: Assist with construction monitoring and snagging assessments to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
  • Teamwork and Independence: Capable of working independently under broad direction, while also supporting team members to meet client demands as needed.
  • Professional Representation: Consistently represent the company in a professional, courteous, and diligent manner. This includes meeting and liaising with clients, understanding their requirements, and ensuring the service provided meets their needs.
  • Client Development: Possess client development skills to cultivate relationships with existing clients and the confidence to win new work.
  • Continuous Improvement: Committed to continuous improvement of our standards, processes, and knowledge to deliver superior service to our core clients.

    Therefore, we are looking for a candidate with experience working with mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems within commercial / light industrial environments, building surveying experience is desirable. In time, the candidate should be willing to support work winning and Client management in both private and public sectors., Communication Skills: Possess strong written and oral communication skills, along with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with tablet-based software, such as GoReport, Kyklcoud, and MOBIESS.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management skills, including ensuring all reports are completed in a timely manner to uphold the company's reputation.
  • Financial and Risk Management: Proficient in financial, commercial, and risk management from project inception through to completion on own projects.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work away from an office environment and potentially domestically and abroad.
  • Security Clearance: Eligibility for DBS or other security clearance checks is required., Ready to push the limits of what's possible?, Engineering Qualifications: Candidates should ideally have engineering qualifications, with a preference for those who have served time in an electrical or mechanical trade.
  • Industry Experience: Experience working within the built environment is preferred. This includes sectors such as commercial, light industrial, and public sector.
  • Educational Qualifications: Relevant further educational qualifications such as HNC, HND, or a Degree are desirable.
  • Role Experience: Previous experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.
  • Professional Development: Candidates who are actively working towards professional qualifications or Chartership are preferred.
