As a Building Surveyor, you'll be at the heart of maintaining and improving the borough's housing stock. From managing disrepair cases and refurbishment projects to addressing complex repairs, void properties, and damp and mould issues, your expertise will ensure we deliver top-tier services to residents.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading on Repairs and Maintenance:
Manage inspections and repairs to meet urgent needs, from structural issues to day-to-day maintenance.
Ensure all works are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.
Engaging with Residents:
Act as a trusted liaison, resolving concerns quickly and delivering clear updates on repair progress.
Champion excellent customer service to ensure resident satisfaction.
Driving Quality and Compliance:
Lead contractor management, ensuring all works meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
Take ownership of health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe and compliant service.
Shaping the Future:
Use data-driven insights to identify trends, prevent issues, and improve service delivery.
Drive continuous improvement by embedding lessons learned into future projects.

Degree in Building Surveying or equivalent experience in housing maintenance and disrepair management.
Proven track record of managing repairs and maintenance in a social housing setting.
Skills and Attributes:
Expertise in diagnosing building defects and overseeing repairs.
Strong knowledge of housing legislation and health and safety standards.
A positive, solution-focused mindset with a passion for delivering excellent service.
