Full Job Description

You will provide technical support to residents of Salford requiring adaptations to their homes. You will design schemes and submit where appropriate to planning and building control, produce works specifications, perform the role of contract administrators while works are on site using Framework contractors.

The Adaptations Team are part of a suite of services within independent living services of Salford Care Organisation. The team supports residents to remove environmental barriers within their homes to support independent living.As part of a of small team of Building Surveyors you will have knowledge and experience of construction, project design, specifications and contract manage framework contractors. The role will require the successful applicant to problem solve and use Computer Aided Design software to interpret clinical assessment outcomes into practical design options.This is a rewarding and varied role involving managing multiple projects such as bathroom conversions and internal alterations to bedroom / shower extensions on domestic properties that will require excellent communication skills with clients, statutory agencies, stakeholders and contractors.
