Full Job Description

INTERNAL JOB - this vacancy is only available to Torfaen County Borough Council (TCBC) employees and agency workers currently engaged with TCBC.

We carry out a range of adaptations to people's homes to provide increased quality of life, safety, comfort, warmth and wellbeing.

You will be committed to delivering a high-quality service with excellent interpersonal and team working abilities, as well as good organisational, administrative and IT skills. Working alongside occupational therapists and social workers, you will ensure service users receive timely and efficient adaptations with minimum disruption whilst works are carried out. You will be responsible for creating plans and specifications for schemes funded by government grants.

You will work with a senior surveyor and be involved in the tendering process and will need to communicate progression of works so that databases can be updated accordingly. You will monitor quality of works completed and work closely with contractors, reporting any concerns to the senior surveyor. You will practice according to legislative requirements and represent Torfaen County Borough Council in a positive and professional way. We operate an agile working system that allows you to work from home when able to.
