Bus Driver (Night shifts)

The primary purpose of this position is to drive an array of vehicles, buses and cars on RAF Mildenhall and UK roads. Operators will conduct and record daily checks, reporting appropriate issues to a supervisor. This position is a night shift position, · Hours of work: Start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with organization's flexible working policies.

· Will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules, and regulations.

· Must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.

· May be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training.

· Position may be coded as mission essential.

· A 6-month probationary period will be required.

· May be required to travel overnight to US or other countries in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training.

· May be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a premier team as Bus Driver on nightshifts with 100 Logistic Readiness Squadron, Royal Air Force Mildenhall, United Kingdom., · Must have category D (bus) valid, in-date driving license.

· Must have a Drivers Certificate of Professional Competency (Driver CPC)

· Knowledge and experience of driving an array of vehicles.

· Knowledge and experience of manual handling and safe loading practices.

· Knowledge of driver hours and traffic regulations.

Other Significant Facts Pertaining to the Position

· The Local National Direct Hire (LNDH) Program does not participate in regular drug testing, however this role may be subject to testing upon reasonable suspicion of substance abuse, and safety mishap or accident testing.

· Must be able to carry objects weight up to 40 pounds, or heavier with assistance.

· Position required the ability to discern colors, contrast and depth

· Required to wear protective clothing and high visibility clothing where required., · Applicants who have a minimum of five years consecutive residency in the UK are considered for this position; however, those who do not meet this criterion will be considered on a case-by-case basis. All successful applicants will require a security clearance.
