Full Job Description

  • Business Analysis: Contribute to the Credit Risk Programme through expert analysis and IT development.
  • Requirements Gathering: Identify and articulate business needs, recommending viable solutions.
  • Documentation: Elicit, analyse, document, validate, and verify requirements, ensuring consensus among stakeholders.
  • Process Design: Define and optimise processes to be client-centric, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Clearly communicate requirements to ensure understanding across various groups.
  • Solution Evaluation: Assess solutions to ensure they meet business needs and maintain traceability throughout the project lifecycle.

    Investec is seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join our Credit Origination and Decisioning Team. This role will contribute to the future of our credit risk platforms and strategic initiatives, including the Investec cloud strategy. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical and analytical skills to deliver effective business solutions., Experience: Over 5 years in technical business analysis, particularly on large-scale projects within the financial services sector.
  • Agile Knowledge: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, especially Agile Scrum, with experience in modelling business processes using BPMN.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in writing complex SQL queries and interpreting system architecture, with experience in system integration projects.
  • Data Analysis: Experience in data analysis, with basic knowledge of Azure, C#, MS SQL, Angular, Swagger, Java, and Oracle SQL being advantageous.
  • Communication Skills: Strong facilitation and communication abilities, both written and verbal, across various audience levels.
  • Continuous Improvement: Focused on delivery and self-improvement, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Desirable but non-essential skills
  • Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science or equivalent; Azure certification is a plus.
