It is said that in today's modern world data is a richer resource than oil. As Healthcare becomes more complex, there is an ever growing need to understand and interpret large data sets to provide insight and support decision makers, ensuring we serve our communities in the most efficient and effective way. Businesses thrive by making the best use of their data, and the Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board are no exception to this. The Business Intelligence team is at the forefront of this. You will work with your colleagues to drive our analytical capabilities to supporting population Health Management as well as performance and demand reporting to all business areas. At the heart of this strategy is the development of an Azure Data Lake and structured Data Warehouse. The Business Analyst will support our data engineering and analytical teams to clearly define use cases, operational processes and data specificationsand reporting requirements., The post holder will be responsible for...

  • Supporting the development of detailed Use Cases for the ICS Azure Data Lake.
  • Ensuring all BI analytics products, both reports and data schema, are designed and developed in accordance with specifications describing customer and internal requirements by translating these into well-defined requirements for development and production.
  • Prioritising features and components and ensuring they are useful; usable and answer the problem statement defined by the customer.
  • The development of full and complete specifications and detailed use cases and will support UAT testing of products developed and delivered by the wider team.
  • Maintaining high levels of quality through management of an assurance process working closely with other members of the team, and the wider ICB Business Intelligence team.
  • Leading, managing and provide expert advice and support to the teams including setting and prioritising work plans and objectives making best use of available resources and embedding quality throughout the service.

    You will be working in a small centralised team supporting the Integrated care Board (ICB) but with close collaboration with all our Health and social care partners across Norfolk and Suffolk.
  • The work is varied, dynamic and interesting, with an excellent team environment. The job will be office based at County Hall in Norwich, with travel to provider sites as appropriate. There are flexible working opportunities, but we will not be considering any remote workers.
