Full Job Description

Government Digital and Data (GDD) Profession Capability Framework and Success Profiles Frameworks. Using GDD we will then determine if you will be paid an additional allowance, on top of your basic salary. This role is within the Product and Delivery Job Family, is a Business Analyst role at Business Analyst level, but carries the title Business Analyst - Telephony within DTS., As a Telephony Business Analyst, you will receive direction from more senior Business Analysts and be responsible for the output. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, gathering and documenting requirements and ensuring that outcomes meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Agile Working:
+ Can identify and compare the best processes or delivery methods to use, including measuring and evaluating outcomes.
+ Can help the team to decide the best approach.
+ Can help teams to manage and visualise outcomes, prioritise work and adhere to agreed minimum viable product (MVP), priorities and scope.
Business Analysis:
+ Can analyse business goals, objectives, functions and processes, using relevant information and data to support the definition of requirements.
+ Can conduct options analysis, assess feasibility and operational impact, quantify potential business benefits and contribute to business case development.
+ Can help to ensure proposed solutions meet business and user needs.
+ Can work with limited direction to complete tasks and defined outputs linked to the project.
Business Modelling:
+ Can model various elements of the business with limited direction.
+ Can understand the effect of potential changes and how business processes, systems, structures, data and roles and responsibilities interact with one another.
Business Process Testing:
+ Can support business process testing. You know how to execute test cases under supervision.
+ Can understand the role of business process testing and how it works.
Digital Perspective:
+ Are responsive to changes in technology, adapting your approach accordingly
+ Can make decisions to meet user needs in the government context
+ Can understand the importance of assisted digital and can design services and make decisions to meet users’ needs.
Innovation:
+ Know about innovation and what it involves.
Methods and tools
+ Can select and use the most appropriate tools and techniques to support the planning, analysis, development, testing, implementation and improvement of systems and services within a project.
Requirements definition and management:
+ Can identify, analyse, challenge and validate business and user requirements.
+ Can work under limited supervision to co-ordinate and review the prioritisation of requirements.
+ Can use appropriate requirements management life cycle methods to complete tasks and outputs related to the project.
Stakeholder Relationship Management:
+ Can identify, analyse, manage and monitor relationships with and between internal and external stakeholders.
+ Can work under limited supervision to communicate with stakeholders clearly and regularly, clarifying mutual needs and commitments through consultation and consideration of impacts while focusing on user and business needs.
Systems Analysis:
+ Can identify and analyse IT system capabilities.
+ Can develop models and system requirements for bespoke IT systems or software packages, with minimal supervision.
Testing (business analysis):
+ Can execute test scripts.
+ Understand the role of testing and how it works in systems development and product lifecycle.
+ Can identify business scenarios and develop acceptance criteria to ensure requirements can be traced to develop functionality.
User Experience Analysis
+ Have an awareness or understanding of user experience analysis, feedback and its principles.
+ Can see the purpose of user stories and focus on user needs.
+ Can present findings in an accessible and easy to understand way to support data-informed decision making, based on user research., + GDD Assessment – During the interview, you will be assessed against the GDD framework

£32,827 - £40,403
The national salary range is £32,827 - £35,678, London salary range is £37,174 - £40,403. Your salary will be dependent on your base location
