Are you passionate about driving impactful change and helping people make the most of their money and pensions? Join the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) as a Business Change Manager and play a pivotal role in transforming financial guidance across the UK.
As part of our team, you'll lead business change management activities, develop high-quality business cases, and engage with senior stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes. Your expertise in change methodology will ensure operational readiness and benefits realisation, while your leadership will inspire and guide our team through significant change projects.

Be part of an organisation dedicated to empowering people with the financial knowledge they need to thrive., The Business Change Manager will report directly to Lead Programme Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for:
+ Leadership and delivery Provide visible and effective leadership, lead the business change management activity and work with the allocated project manager(s) to deliver the business case benefits and outcomes. Develop clear vision and standards and champion the use of best practice business change management standards, tools and processes. Build strong networks both internally and externally. Assess and understand the impact on stakeholders.
+ Business case Supporting operational colleagues and project managers in delivering high quality business case content, co-ordinating any specialist input.
+ Change products Lead the progress of the required Business Change products for the projects your assigned to. Lead on engagement with senior stakeholders both internally and externally and other change managers across the portfolio.
+ Change planning Own the change plan for your allocated project and provide input into the overall Project Plan.
+ Operational readiness Lead the creation and management of the operational readiness criteria across your projects. Lead in the approve/refuse go-live decision with the Project Manager, business and end users.
+ Benefits management Lead benefits realisation across the project and understands the impact of all Business Change activities on Benefits Management.
+ Change communication Lead the inclusion of Business Change communications requirements into the project communications plan. Provide and review content for communications relating to Business Change across the project.
+ Stakeholder management Identify, classify, and update stakeholder engagement plan. Lead stakeholder engagement on project to ensure it meets Business Change requirements. Point of contact for senior / strategic stakeholders.
+ Guidance and support Provide direction and guidance to team, and more broadly across the Portfolio, At MaPS, we take pride in our flexible approach to work. As standard, we work on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days in the office per week. Hybrid working is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and our headquarters in Bedford will be your contractual place of work. The number of days that anyone will be able to work at home will be determined primarily by business needs, but personal and other relevant circumstances will also be considered. If you are successful, any opportunities for hybrid working, including whether a hybrid working arrangement is suitable for you, will be discussed with you prior to you taking up your post.

To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
+ Significant experience and expert level competence in the application of business change methodology in a formal project and programme environment.
+ Experience delivering change within customer facing operations and remote access/telephony services
+ Demonstrable experience of stakeholder engagement, risk and issues management and benefits realisation
+ Experience of all stages and elements of a programme and project life cycle including planning, scheduling, resource management, governance, assurance and business case development
+ Experience using a range of change management frameworks and methodologies dependent on project need
+ Awareness of solutions development and budgeting and cost management, Successful candidates must undergo a criminal record check.
