Full Job Description

Joining our rapidly growing Business Change team, we're looking for a Business Change Manager to help our business understand, prepare, adopt and embed highly complex and diverse change. It's your chance to play a part in a challenge that's as important as it gets: protecting the UK and its communities.

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic team member with some experience in managing change. You will join the team and be responsible for the day-to-day management and application of the Business Change framework, tools and methodology to implement sustainable change across the national Counter Terrorism Policing Network.

You will have a varied role, where no two days are the same. You will join the team with a broad understanding of change management, and with support from the team will become a specialist in your field. You will work as part of a busy team, supporting the Business Change Leads in delivering our change portfolio and working closely with our change network and stakeholders., The Met is committed to being an equitable (fair and impartial) and inclusive employer for disabled people, striving to have a diverse and representative workforce at all levels. An understanding of the principles of change management or transferable skills.

The ability to use information to assess how change is landing and assess risks and blockers, supporting effective decision-making.

The ability to provide effective challenge to interested parties.

Good planning and organisational skills, with the ability to meet demanding deadlines in a pressured environment.

Good interpersonal and facilitation skills

Good communication skills, both verbal and written, across all levels including stakeholder engagement skills.

Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.

Self-starter, confident and capable of working both independently and collaboratively to tight deadlines with plenty of initiative.

Strong IT skills in the use of Microsoft products, especially MS Word and PowerPoint.

You might have some experience:

Applying established change management methodologies (for example, Prosci, APMG Change Management/Agent etc.)

Working for a (local) government, security agency or within a policing environment.

Vetting

This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) level before taking up the post; with a willingness to undergo Developed Vetting (DV) once in post, if required.

Additionally, this material is of particular sensitivity to the UK and its distribution must be restricted to UK nationals. In approved circumstances dual nationals (of which one element is British) may also be granted access. However, in the event that potential conflicts of interest cannot be managed the post holder will not be able to see the intelligence material and will not be able to perform their duties. For the purpose of safeguarding national security and in line with Cabinet Office Policy, supported by Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), applicants who do not hold or acquire Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) OR Developed Vetting (DV) clearance and meet the nationality requirements cannot be offered the post.

Salary: £42,232 to £50,385 dependent on experience, plus location allowances totalling £2,841
