Please note that this vacancy may be withdrawn at any time should it be filled via the internal redeployment process, How Aneurin Bevan University Health Board communicates with and responds to its key stakeholders and manages its corporate business is critical to the organisation in setting the tone at the top and this post holder will play a fundamental role in supporting the Chief Executive's office to achieve that.
The Chief Executive's office provides the Chief Executive Officer with personal support across the full range of their responsibilities, identifying issues that require particular attention to avoid escalation and acting as a key channel for communication between the Chief Executive Officer, the Chair, Executive Directors, colleagues within the Health Board and senior colleagues in NHS organisations, Welsh Government and other external partners such as Local Authorities, MSs, MPs and Members of the Public.
The post holder will work on their own initiative and be expected to demonstrate high levels of integrity, innovation and commitment to Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, proactively and continually looking to identify new and more effective and efficient ways of delivering corporate business elements.
There will be a constant need for the post holder to handle highly confidential and sometimes very contentious and sensitive information of a personal, financial and political nature and will therefore be relied upon to observe and comply with specific and implied confidentiality rules and policies., Work autonomously to prioritise work to ensure that the management team is fully briefed, prepared and well supported, including in the absence of the Operational Lead for Testing. The post holder will be expected to seek advice when necessary but will be responsible for managing own area of work.
Manage the busy diaries of the Chief Executive to ensure that they are constantly up-to-date and that meetings are organised promptly which requires balancing competing priorities and ensuring that deadlines are met without compromising standards.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
