Business Development Degree Apprentice

We are looking to recruit a high calibre marketing and communications degree apprentice who can support Actuation Systems with the effective planning and execution of new business opportunities identified within our strategic plans . A Business Development Apprentice within the Collins business leads from the front, living and driving our core values of Engaged, Empowered and Accountable - always. You will b e the single point of contact for all Marketing and Communication activities across Collins Actuation . This will include activities such as :

• Generate marketin g material/collateral in line with company strategy
• Manage relationship with internal (Value Streams, corporate marketing function) and external (service providers, trade shows) stakeholders
• Organise and lead execution of key aerospace marketing events (trade shows, conferences, customer visits)
• Track actual vs. planned spend for all marketing and communication activities
The successful candidate will be an expert communicator , with natural drive for curiosity and autonomy. They will also demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, have a creative approach to business to business marketing, and be analytical . The degree apprenticeship programme lasts for a period of 4 years and is a partnership between Collins Aerospace and Aston University. You will learn key management principles at Aston University which will be vital to your development at Collins Aerospace such as:
• Marketing
• Excellence in business project management
• Communication skills for business leaders
• Innovation and new product development
  
  By the end of the programme, having completed your functional training and degree apprenticeship, you will be awarded a BSc in Leadership and Business Management a nd be eligible to apply for Chartered Status from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI ) .
What are we looking for? We are looking for the best individuals who have the following attributes:
• Minimum of 3 A Levels at CCC or above, or equivalent BTECs
• M inimum of 5 GCSE's at Grade C/ 5 or above including Mathematics and English
• Be a UK resident living in the UK for a minimum of 3 years
• Good analytical skills and problem solving
• Good personal management and self-organisation skills
• Effective communicator - written and verbal

This scheme is geared towards supporting the career development of apprentices who wish to play an instrumental role in project management of the next generation of civil and military aircraft . The role is based at Wolverhampton, and home of Actuation Systems at Collins Aerospace. Actuation Systems are the leading experts in fly-by-wire, hydraulic and electro-hydraulic actuation design, Collins Aerospace offers a complete line of actuation products that enhance aircraft performance and reduce pilot workload.
