Business Development Executive (12-month FTC) Are you passionate about reaching new readers in international markets? Do you have a curious mindset and an interest in creating new editions of our books? Are you excited by the prospect of working with much-loved children's brands like Peppa Pig, Peter Rabbit, Roald Dahl, and Bluey, and global bestsellers such as Emily Henry, Yuval Noah Harari and James Patterson? Our International Business Development team are looking for a Business Development Executive to deliver growth in our Custom Publishing business in focus markets, as well as supporting the wider team to process orders, analyse trends and be a champion for Custom Product. The Opportunity We work on Custom Publishing and Brand Partnerships across the full PRH programme, and have a global remit to find new ways to sell PRH books, create new products, and tailor books for international partners. The successful candidate will manage our Custom Publishing business in their focus territories, working alongside the Area Sales Managers in a fast-paced environment, and will build strong internal relationships with colleagues in Editorial, Production and Design to develop and deliver new products such as series boxsets, retailer exclusives and children's activity formats.,
- Effectively prioritise and manage your publishing projects from start to finish.
- Coordinate multiple costings, place orders, monitor schedules and track deliveries.
- Create tailored product presentations for trips and customer meetings.
- Collaborate with Sales Managers, analysing trends and performance in focus markets.
- Provide feedback and product recommendations to Sales, Editorial and Design colleagues.
- Contribute creatively to new product idea generation for focus markets.
This role is perfect for a proactive person who is commercially-savvy, a confident communicator, and with an interest in publishing and custom sales. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate commercial acumen as well as skill in relationship building. Although previous experience in Custom Publishing is not essential, knowledge of our Children's brands and interest in Children's books would be beneficial. You will need to be very organised, be able to prioritise and respond swiftly across a range of tasks, have a meticulous eye for detail and an analytical mindset to interpret and report sales data across our Custom Publishing business. Our team has a collaborative and supportive spirit, and successful candidates will be willing to learn and adapt with a can-do attitude.
