Full Job Description

We are seeking a highly self-motivated and talented individual to join our IBOSS Business Development team, Head Office located in Harrogate. The role is Business Development Executive. The role can be offered as hybrid or WFH for the right candidate with direct reporting into to Chris Metcalfe, Chief Investment Officer and MD of IBOSS and day to day reporting to the BDM Team. You'll be responsible for supporting our Business Development team win new firms and achieve team targets with a view to securing long-term partnerships with IBOSS Asset Management,

  • To support and drive sales by targeting new business opportunities to promote and sell the IBOSS DFM MPS, Multi Asset OEIC funds, KW Personal DFM and AIM products via an array of communication channels directly to IFA businesses nationally.
  • Working closely with our Business Development and Marketing department, you'll proactively follow up on marketing campaigns, obtain fact-finding research from IFA Firms by phone and conduct outbound telephone calls to decision makers to ensure campaigns have been delivered and received with the objective to moving the firms onto the next stage by booking a meeting in the diary for the BDM and assisting with any early stage questions the firms may have.
  • Regularly reviewing open lists following up on direct campaigns to new prospects and following up with key decision makers as discussed with BDMs
  • Actively record IFA Firm data obtained on IBOSS's internal CRM system whilst continuing to update all prospect data that aligns to GDPR rules and regulations.
  • Support our Business Development Managers to send out further marketing material, organise team presentation decks with the other business development support or any on-going administrative tasks as required by the BDMs ensuring maximum engagement is always externally focused.
  • You will be required to work closely with the Investment Team to understand the IBOSS Investment Philosophy in order to promote this to the IFA Marketplace during your calls.
  • Attend regular webinars, meetings, and calls alongside the Business Development Manager to form key long-term partnerships.
  • Effectively discuss and agree on contact plans with the Business Development team for each prospect.
  • Organise Investment team presentation decks in a timely manner and attend the meetings in order to build the IFA Firm relationships as early as possible.

    This is a strategic role which will require an individual who has previous experience working in DFM MPS ideally, conducting extensive research on organisations and confident making outbound communications regularly., Someone who has a good understanding of the IFA process and market place and can distinguish what IFAs we are looking for in outsourced DFM partners.
  • You will have a skillset of being able to build a rapport with people that you speak to early on in conversations
  • Excellent influencing skills required
  • Previous experience working within a Business Development team, preferably with experience in DFM MPS Wealth/Investment management industry.
  • A keen interest and understanding of Investments / markets ideally but not essential, a willing to learn is essential
  • Knowledge of DFM MPS preferred
  • An organised and self-motivated individual with a "bounce-back" attitude from a high rate of non-returned calls and email responses is imperative with a 'can do' attitude
  • Confident and articulate in communication via telephone
