Full Job Description

Are you ready to take charge of your own success? As a Business Development Manager at Capital on Tap you will have the opportunity to grow and manage your own portfolio of customer accounts. You will take ownership the entire sales cycle, from sourcing leads to ramping up card spend. This is a telephone-based role, so no face-to-face or field sales involved. You'll primarily engage with SME owner-directors and finance managers., At Capital on Tap, we have successfully grown our team from 12 Business Development Managers at the start of 2022 to 109 currently working in Brighton, Manchester, and in London. In our central Manchester office we have a team of around 20 BDMs reporting into our two Sales Managers as well as a Senior Sales Manager. You'll work with a team of 10-12 BDMs, sharing knowledge and best practices to boost yours and everyone's success at Capital on Tap.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Sourcing and generating leads

  • Building and managing your own pipeline

  • Working within a team in an autonomous manner. With leadership support, you will take ownership of and structure your working day

  • Making 30-50 outbound cold calls per day pitching our business credit card

  • Managing customer accounts and building relationships with customers to drive card-spend

  • Working to high standards of FCA regulations

    1+ years of sales experience

  • Cold calling experience with a proven track record of meeting KPIs

  • Experience in a 360 sales cycle

  • People who thrive in a self-driven high energy team environment
