We are looking for Business Development Manager to join our Commercial Team at Heathrow.

This role is crucial in managing relationships with key partner accounts and identifying opportunities to expand our B2B sales channels. The ideal candidate will be adept at using API and other technologies to onboard partners into Heathrow distribution systems, ensuring that commercial partnerships are initiated and developed to their full potential. By leveraging internal and external networks, this role will ensure that all sales opportunities are thoroughly explored and evaluated, always aligning with the strategic interests of Heathrow and Heathrow Express.

  • Managing and optimizing existing commercial partnerships to increase revenue and passenger numbers, with a portfolio worth over £13+

  • Identifying and establishing new sales and distribution opportunities, ensuring the successful launch and ongoing support of new partnerships

  • Developing strategic plans with partners to enhance growth and marketing efforts, maximizing revenue potential

  • Onboarding new partners using Heathrow's API distribution technology, coordinating with stakeholders to fulfil technical requirements

  • Resolving issues promptly, addressing any concerns from partners or customers to maintain high-quality service

  • Collaborating and representing Heathrow in industry events, managing new sales channels, overseeing key projects, and staying informed on industry trends, Our agile approach offers the opportunity to combine home working with meetings, events and training at the airport. All roles involve some on-site working each week, so you'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.

    Strong experience of the travel industry gained through airline/travel agency/destination management/ground transportation type roles.

  • Background in account management or developing external partnerships

  • Proven work experience managing and growing sales through third parties

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret and present data to others

  • An understanding of industry sales and distribution channels such as API technology/GDS systems/aggregators Comfortable working with senior stakeholders internally and externally up to CEO level



  • Ideally, you'll also have:
  • Educated to degree level or hold equivalent work experience
