Full Job Description

Aston Business School's Centre for Growth is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our face paced team and drive our mission by engaging businesses, ensuring recruitment targets are met, and maximising ongoing engagement with our vibrant network. We are looking a dynamic, personable, and driven sales professional with a proven track record for building and nurturing business relationships.

As a key player in our team, you will work closely with colleagues to develop and execute an impactful business engagement strategy across all Centre programmes. Your creativity, quick thinking, and ability to tailor key messages to capture stakeholder interest will be crucial in this role. You will be the face of our outreach efforts in the West Midlands and Shropshire, forging strong connections with the business community, selling our programmes, and facilitating access to Aston's extensive business support, research, and activities.

Aston Centre for Growth, at Aston Business School, designs and delivers business support programmes for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) (face to face and online) and provides other business support opportunities for entrepreneurs, as well as start-up and incubation support to student and graduate businesses. The programmes currently delivered by the Centre for Growth team include, Shropshire Leadership Programme, Social Economy Growth Programme, Help to Grow: Management Course, Minerva Birmingham Pitch Up, Green Advantage Skills Bootcamp and BSEEN (Birmingham Skills for Enterprise and Employability Network) along with some shorter courses such as Doing Business in the UK (Migrant programme), Practical Insights Masterclasses and Aston Centre for Growth Networking Groups.
