Our creative production team and our project managers work closely together to bring creative ideas to life, offering end-to-end podcast production services including consultancy, concept development, recording, editing, distribution, marketing and social media. We would love to hear from you. The Role We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new clients who can benefit from our podcast production services. You will drive revenue growth by building relationships with potential customers, understanding their needs, and offering tailored solutions. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-growing media sector and contribute to the expansion of our business.
  • Develop & Implement Sales Strategies:
  • Create and execute a sales plan that aligns with company goals, focusing on lead generation, client outreach, and closing new business.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients. Understand their business objectives and tailor podcast production solutions to meet their needs.
  • Lead Generation & Networking:
  • Leverage various channels such as industry events, online platforms such as LinkedIn, cold outreach, and networking to generate leads and build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Budget creation: Creating production budgets as part of client pitches.
  • Sales Presentations & Proposals:
  • Present the company's podcast production capabilities to potential clients, crafting compelling proposals and custom solutions that demonstrate the value of podcasting for their brand.
  • Negotiate Contracts:
  • Lead contract negotiations, including pricing, terms, and deliverables, ensuring both client satisfaction and company profitability.
  • Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and the evolving podcast landscape to identify opportunities for new business and keep the company's offerings competitive.
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams:
  • Work closely with the development and production teams to ensure a smooth handover of new projects and maintain alignment on client expectations and deliverables.

  • Value a sense of community, Experience: Minimum 3 years of proven experience in sales, business development, or account management, ideally within media, podcast production, digital content, or creative services.
  • Sales Skills: Strong understanding of the sales cycle, lead generation, client acquisition, and closing deals. Ability to manage and grow a sales pipeline effectively.
  • Presentation skills: Ability to create attractive pitch documents in Canva/Keynote/Powerpoint etc.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to develop and maintain long-term business relationships. Comfortable networking and generating leads in new markets.
  • Negotiation & Closing Skills: Demonstrated success in negotiating contracts, closing deals, and achieving sales targets.
  • Industry Knowledge: A passion for podcasts and familiarity with the podcast production process, trends, and key players in the industry is a plus.
  • Self-Starter: Proactive, results-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with minimal supervision.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with basic digital marketing platforms, LinkedIn ads and lead-generation techniques

    £40k-£55k depending on experience with performance-based incentives
  • Hybrid working environment (up to 1-2 days a week in a London office)
