The Skills, Employment & Adult Education Service is part of Coventry City Council. We work with a range of delivery partners to provide a wide portfolio of top-quality support to Coventry residents of all ages who are looking for work. We work with partners across the city and our Employer Hub actively works with local employers to generate opportunities for local people. We are a friendly and welcoming multicultural and diverse team based in the Job Shop situated in Coventry City Centre. We are here to support all Coventry's diverse residents, each with differing needs and tailor their support to help them search for employment, training, apprenticeships and work placements. People can explore a wide range of local vacancies that are updated daily and access training opportunities. We also provide ground-breaking specialist support for local residents who face multiple and sometimes complex barriers that make it hard for them to find a job. The Job Shop and our exciting range of specialist employment support programmes are among the very best support available in the UK.What is the job role? We are looking for someone to oversee and coordinate new projects that are currently being piloted within the Skills and Employment Team supporting residents and our culturally diverse communities. The post holder will be required to lead, co-ordinate and facilitate the projects and able to analyse, understand and interpret data, as well as covering a range of duties directed by the Project Lead. You will represent the Service across a wide range of forums and will need to demonstrate effective communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills. These projects are funded by the UKSPF grant and require additional staff to ensure their successful implementation and delivery. These new projects will be for a fixed term and funded until 31st March 2025.

You should understand the local and national labour market in particular disadvantaged groups and how to effectively deliver projects when measured against targets. You will also need to be highly organised and a team player to deliver a wide range of KPI's on time, with a high level of detail and accuracy. Verbal and written communication skills are essential as well as the ability to, present data and reports which are accurate, well written, compelling and persuasive.
