Full Job Description
We're looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Business and Industry team in the Recycle loop. We have a proven track record of 'thinking differently' when it comes to working with customers.

You will need to have experience in the environmental sector or waste management industry, with a high energy and the vision and commercial skills to create solutions that are compelling to blue-chip organisations.
What is the role?
A key requirement will be the development and maintenance of a strong pipeline that will come from a combination of self-generated and company provided leads. Where appropriate, you will work closely with a dedicated bid team to project manage the creation and submission of compelling proposals.
You will have the opportunity to engage and present to an interesting variety of client stakeholders from on-site operations to the board room. The objective being to build a portfolio of profitable business accounts whilst generating social, economic and environmental value for customers., This role involves travel across the UK to visit potential customers, which will require frequent overnight stays. When not traveling, you will work remotely from home. A full UK driving licence is a requirement for this position due to the nature of the travel involved.
+ A robust track record of selling outsourced solutions into the commercial and industrial sectors.
+ Experience within the waste management industry.
+ Ability to self-generate and convert new business opportunities across multiple market sectors.
+ Be able to demonstrate competence with a solution led sales process.
+ Having the confidence and gravitas to develop meaningful dialogue with the right stakeholders.
+ Effective communication and presentation skills at corporate level.
+ Demonstrable track record of working to and consistently achieving challenging targets.
+ Methodical approach to new business generation - working alongside our bid support team to write, create and deliver first class proposals.
+ Commercial confidence that means you know how to generate profit for your team and value for your customers.
