An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Emerson as a Business Development Manager -Energy Efficiency & Integrity Solutions. The successful person in the role will take Emerson's proven solutions and extensive technology to existing and new customers, expanding our footprint. The role has responsibility for generating value and growth across the existing customer base, whilst seeking and developing new business. This will be achieved by building relationships and maximising customer face time, liaising with sales and engineering teams and promoting both products and solutions from across the wide-ranging portfolio to ensure success. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Sales Targets and Forecasting
- Own and deliver the UK budget and target for Energy Efficiency & Integrity product lines
- Lead niche opportunities within the UK&I market
- Increase Wireless & Integrity Solutions Business market share with targeted competitor displacement
- Forecast and maintain opportunity funnel with sales teams updating business planning tools (CRM)
- Identify, develop and lead application solutions Team Collaboration
- Build sales team relationships to ensure complete account coverage
- Maintain sales account and value creation plans with sales teams to generate new opportunities
- Liaise with internal and external sales teams in product and application knowledge sharing/training
- Collaborate with European team to ensure alignment of messaging and needs Market and Sales Strategy Execution
- Develop and maintain a solid understanding of available market and business opportunities for Emerson Energy Efficiency & Integrity Solutions Business product lines
- Understand customers and market business, drivers and needs
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to better understand how to position Energy Efficiency & Integrity Solutions Business offerings effectively in the market place
- Proactively create and deliver country or industry specific marketing campaigns for UK&I market
- Develop and execute sales growth plans/initiatives to gain market share within market sectors Customer Engagement
- Support the direct sales team with customer meetings, owning and winning opportunities
- Identify new and actively engage with existing customers by promoting unique product features and deploying best sales practices, accompanied by technical knowledge
- Build effective account relationships to become the trusted advisor within accounts

- Educated Degree or HNC level in Engineering discipline or equivalent
- Ability to sell Plantweb Insight app/ Subscription Software
- Proven track record of account management and establishing long term relationships
- Demonstrate a consultative approach to selling
- Ability to communicate at both technical and commercial level to resolve customer pains
- Ability to travel in order to fulfil duties when required is essential. Travel is expected to be around 50-70%. Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Experience with Steam Trap, Relief Valve and Heat Exchanger monitoring solutions
- Experience intrusive and non-intrusive application selling
- Experience of developing successful internal relationships within a matrix organisation
