Full Job Description

This is a pivotal role, which is responsible for stewarding, maintaining and strengthening Babbasa's commercial revenue potential through Inclusion Services.

Working with a pool of corporate partners, your task will be to directly provide training and advisory support to enable Babbasa's employer clients to understand how to achieve a diverse and inclusive work environment for all to thrive. This will include cultivating long term relationships with clients to find solutions for existing and potential diversity and inclusion challenges. The role will also include supporting negotiations to retain engaged corporate partners as clients of Babbasa's Inclusion Services. Through stewarding and exemplary customer service, you will provide value for engaged corporate partners and generate revenue for the continued success and long term goals of Babbasa.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Identify new potential income streams via BRIS (Babbasa Recruitment & Inclusion Services), from engaged corporate partners and work with the team to produce strategies to access them for the benefit of Babbasa and our beneficiaries

  • Support sales, negotiations and finalising contracts and terms of business with both new and existing clients, on behalf of Babbasa through the delivery of Inclusion and Advisory Services

  • Work with Communications and the Babbasa team to raise the profile and increase the brand awareness of Babbasa and OurCity2030 and create buy-in


  • Delivering BRIS (Babbasa Recruitment & Inclusion Services)
  • Directly deliver on BRIS required by corporate partners:

  • Successful delivery of Babbasa's diversity and inclusion training packages through small group workshops managed face-to-face and online

  • Provide diversity and inclusion advisory support to Babbasa clients from a diverse range of employment sectors and staff levels (from senior leadership to frontline staff), covering intercultural communication skills, inclusive leadership, inclusive HR practices and engaging young people and diverse communities.

  • Reviewing, updating and creating new training material to keep up to date with changing landscape and bespoke client needs.

  • Maintain excellent working knowledge of the labour market, workplace culture and changes regarding Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in the workplace.

    You are commercially aware - you know how to spot and develop an opportunity and manage the process of corporate engagement. You have the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, experience of corporate partnerships and an aptitude to develop meaningful connections with businesses, institutions and individuals for the common good.

  • You have experience - you have demonstrable track record of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion training and consultancy, stakeholder management, relevant achievement of revenue targets.

  • You have excellent communication and leadership skills - You are a confident connector with the ability to influence decision making, whilst understanding the social value and positive impact of Babbasa.

  • Working with others - You proactively identify business needs, scope and plan minor and major projects to address them, and successfully drive the project to completion, involving and engaging colleagues appropriately throughout. You develop and maintain excellent working relationships with formal and informal stakeholders at every level.

  • Positive and enthusiastic with the ability to engage learners and clients and encourage and facilitate open discussion to support 'myth-busting' and create greater understanding.

  • Ability to develop bespoke training materials (when required) and session plans that meet learning objectives and outcomes.

  • Experience of evaluating training and making positive changes based on feedback.

  • Good organisation, time management and record-keeping skills.

    If you are interested in working with us, we would like you to note the following points below before applying:

  • The contract offered will be as a (PAYE) paid Babbasa employee, 3 days per week (you are very welcome of course, to take on other jobs consultancy or otherwise outside of this).

  • The interview will be in person at our offices in Bristol, we will not be conducting interviews online.

  • The 3 working days are negotiable, however, within those 3 working days, you will be required to travel to our clients to deliver training in person. Your remaining time will need to be based at Babassa offices in Bristol.
