Full Job Description

The Business Insight Analyst role is part of the Business Operations Team within the Display organisation of Samsung UK. Display team is covering 4 different categories : LCD Monitor, Hospitality Display, LED Signage and LCD Signage (Interactive, video wall, standalone, outdoor). The role reports directly to the Head of Business Operations and SCM. This is a diverse role, where core element is to engage with other teams in order to gather all necessary information, that will allow effective reporting both on HQ and subsidiary level. There is a cross fuctional element where coordination and relationship building with Product Managers, Business Development Team, Channel team, SCM, and sales/marketing/finance team of Samsung divisions is key. Our team is the owner of the data sources, data intelligence, and is pivotal in providing meaningful insight will support both sales and product strategic decisions of the wider Samsung UK Display business. Role and Responsibilities

  • Report on current market trends by combining various sorts of data, generating holistic view for top management
  • Focus on analysis of business metrics: Market share (UK, Europe), Sell-in, Sell-out, Sell-through for managed and unmanaged accounts as well
  • Cross-function collaboration with SCM to cover SCM related reports
  • Work with PMs (LED , LFD, HD and Monitor) on market data, creating market analysis reports and tracking the trends
  • P&L Analysis, weekly business plan, sales and consensus meetings
  • Supporting the Head of Display on key initiatives as the need arises

    Articulate complex analysis to management and senior staff
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills

  • Specialist in Excel (Macro and queries - good to have, pivot tables, advanced formulas - is a must)
  • Good skill in most Microsoft office software (Powerpoint, Word)
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation abilities, Being proactive and driving the tasks, taking initiative and delivering results
  • Ability to understand business issues and suggest new ideas for process improvement
  • Ability to understand components of the tasks, getting things moving and done
  • Ability to ask questions for task completing, but also work independently and deliver results
  • Multitasking capabilities as well as ability to prioritise and work to tight deadline
  • Being able to work in fast paced environment
  • Good time management skills are required
  • Ability to work with others to deliver the total solution objective
