Full Job Description
The Business Intelligence team is responsible for developing data products that meet the needs of our clinicians and patients. We do this by capturing requirements, writing specifications, writing extract code, testing and publishing great reports and dashboards that are robust and accurate.
You will be responsible for writing specifications, developing the correct logic to meet the specification, documenting the various stages and preparing your product for deployment into our warehouse infrastructure.
You will work alongside other members of a diverse development team and will contribute as a point of contact for all product related issues logged on our service desk. You will need strong applied knowledge of full stack development. PowerBI and knowledge and experience of data warehousing would be an advantage and to your ability to work autonomously in the delivery of new reporting products as well as maintenance and alteration of existing ones will be required., Builds complex information reports and dashboards and plays a key role in the development of the Trusts Business Information systems. The post holder will also contribute to technical improvements, maintain technical documentation, and perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.

+ Look after the development and testing lifecycle of systems changes.
+ Production of general technical documentation.
+ Execution of other duties appropriate to the skills and experience of the post holder which may be identified by the manager.
+ Take a proactive approach to developing own skills and experience.
+ Work autonomously within professional and NHS guidelines, interpreting and acting on this interpretation as appropriate.
+ Recommends changes and improvements to policies both within the development team and throughout the whole department.
+ Shares knowledge and best practice principles with colleagues at all levels.
+ Undertakes any other duties as required which are consistent with the grade and nature of the post.
+ Demonstrates a proactive approach to responsibilities and exhibits 'customer focused' thinking

+ Delivers regular technical training to the Data Services team and other areas as appropriate.
Leadership:
+ Reports to the Business Intelligence Development Manager.
+ Non-clinical position.
+ Actively contributes to team improvement and provides coaching to colleagues as needed.
Communication:
+ Provides complex verbal, written and graphical business and analytical information to the performance and information team and managers throughout the Trust.
+ Ensures that potentially contentious and sensitive information is clearly communicated especially where there may be barriers to understanding.
+ Undertakes audits and surveys as required within own work area. Analyses the results of these audits and surveys and uses the information obtained to improve own, Trust and departmental performance.
