In addition to its acclaimed international standing as an examination board, Trinity College London also operates a world-renowned digital and print publishing house, Trinity College London Press (TCLP), which sells and distributes a diverse range of publications globally and is constantly expanding its portfolio of copyrights. Building upon and supporting the success of one of the UK's largest awarding organisations, Trinity College London Press is expanding its business development activity and seeking a dynamic and experienced salesperson to help drive our sales strategy for TCLP's publications across the subject areas of Music, English language teaching and testing, and Drama and Performance Arts.

As Business Manager, you will provide primary support to the Managing Director/Chief Business Development Officer in driving the performance of the TCL Press subsidiary and of the group Business Development function by providing the ongoing business management and administrative function. You will will be responsible for coordinating the creation of departmental reports, budgets and metrics, the tracking and reporting of KPIs and OKRs, project managing relevant workstreams, updating risk registers and roadmaps and coordinating activity with all relevant clients and suppliers. As part of the Business Manager role, you will provide analysis and updates for the key strategic workstreams as required and will ensure the regular inputting of customer data into the CRM system. You will liaise with key stakeholders around the organisation both in the UK and internationally and will attend certain committee and board meetings with the Managing Director/Chief Business Development Officer as required
as well as occasional events.

  • A degree in an Arts, Language or Business-related subject and/or relevant work-based/sector experience

  • Demonstrable business and/or data management experience

  • Able to work seamlessly with multiple stakeholders

  • Highly data focused; able to analyse, interpret and summarise complex data in a succinct manner whilst also liaising with analysts

  • Great attention to detail.

  • Highly organised and motivated, with the ability to prioritise conflicting tasks and a challenging workload

  • Demonstrable expertise with a wide range of business management software packages including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, MS Teams

  • Highly articulate with clearly evidenced presentation and communication skills
