Full Job Description

Contract length: Permanent, although a year's fixed term contract will be considered Working weeks: Full time, all year round Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday The environment: Harrow School is situated in Harrow on the Hill, northwest London, and is one of the best-known schools in the world. John Lyon's Foundation is the umbrella organisation that oversees the Corporation's schools and its charitable entities. The role: The Business Manager works with the CFCO to assess opportunities for the Corporation to generate additional income to support its charitable purposes and monitor potential business risks and mitigations. You will analyse business cases, provide board presentations on business opportunities and provide insights on assets, resources and funds. You will manage the Corporation's register of contracts and procurement activity and progress commercial discussions with the Foundation's General Counsel. The skills: This role will suit a candidate with demonstrable experience gained in a leading strategy or management practice, or in a corporate development role in a regulated sector. With a strong interest in the independent school and charitable sector and a flair for innovation, you will relish the opportunity to identify business opportunities for the Corporation. Your accomplished written communication skills will enable you to compile concise, compelling board reports that contain accurate and relevant commercial analyses. You will build strong collaborative relationships throughout the organisation promoting best practice and forward thinking. The benefits include:
