The successful candidate will work with a high level of diplomacy and be linked to a specific business area within Regulation and lead on a range of cross-Impact Area workstreams. The Business Manager is a direct support to the Deputy Director for delivery of priority projects for the Business Area, Regulation Impact Area and wider OPSS. This will include managing resources and headcount, overseeing recruitment processes, monitoring governance and assurance procedures.

Our Regulation Impact Area is growing to meet the challenges of the future, and there are plenty of opportunities for people committed to their professional development., + Working closely with Leadership Team in the Regulation Impact Area and directly with the Deputy Director to lead, plan and delivery priorities for the Business Area.
+ Maintaining the teams' resources, including handling headcount and vacancies.
+ Partnering with the Organisational Capacity team to manage recruitment activities, ensuring all induction arrangements remain fit for purpose.
+ Overseeing the delivery of projects and programmes of work in a complex and emerging delivery landscape, including working with other project delivery leads in relevant teams to identify dependencies and interlinkages.
+ Monitoring governance and assurance procedures.
+ Respond promptly and efficiently to commissions, including short notice requests.
+ Delivering at pace, prioritising multiple strands of work, and taking ownership for areas of responsibility.
+ Providing support to the Regulation Impact Area, working collaboratively with other Business Managers.
+ Some line management and leadership of as part of a busy, dynamic, and highly performing team.
