Full Job Description

This is an exciting time to join our Family hub team! We're a new local service within West Northants Council at the beginning of our journey, shaping what the Family hub team looks like at West Northants Council.

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Family Hubs Business Manager to take a leading role in implementing the Family Hub programme across West Northamptonshire. This exciting opportunity position working closely with the Strategic Lead for Early Help and Family Hubs to integrate services and partners, ensuring timely and effective support that reduces the demand for statutory services.

The role is accountable to the Family Hub Lead and includes the direct line management of up to 16 Administrative employees.

What will you be doing?

You will play a critical part in the set up and implementation of the Family Hub service, working in collaboration with the Strategic Lead for Early Help and Family Hubs. This involves coordinating services and partners to ensure children, young people, and families receive timely and appropriate support, ultimately reducing the demand for statutory services. The programme will be delivered through an integrated Family Hub model across Local Area Partnership areas.

The Family Hubs Business Manager will establish and maintain systems to oversee business management, including finances, performance, and business continuity planning. You will support with policy writing and lead on parts of the project plan to ensure the success of the delivery.

You don't need experience across all aspects of the job as that will form part of your development journey, but you will need experience of working in the public sector, supporting the delivery of change and transformation, and managing staff to deliver an efficient administrative service, as this is the central to the role.

You'll need to have a solution driven and adaptable approach to working, thrive in a busy environment with a positive approach to challenges!

Ideally you will have previous experience of working in partnership across the sector with experience of managing and developing a team. You will be able to smoothly manage business processes whilst being able use your own initiative to 'think outside of the box'. You'll use your great attention to detail to ensure that the team have all the business functions required to carry out their roles.

If you've got experience within a children, young people and families service, that's great, but not essential; being adept at building relationships with key stakeholders and partners and quickly developing an understanding of the needs of the service and our communities are most important.

At West Northants Council, it's about our people. People who thrive with ambition, bubble with new ideas, demand better ways of working, caring about every detail, and who never shy away from a challenge. Our culture is a gateway for new experiences. A place to forge new opportunities. To empower you in your career and unite you with like-minded people.

Our vision is 'to make West Northants a great place to live, work, visit and thrive'. We truly stand by this and work hard every day to make this a reality. Our corporate values, THRIVE, stand for: Trust, High Performance, Respect, Innovate and Empower, they underpin everything we do and how we deliver services.
