Full Job Description

The Perinatal Community Mental Health Service is a specialist secondary care multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatry, psychological therapies, occupational therapy, specialist nursing and nursery nursing, social work, and peer support. We are a diverse and experienced group committed to delivering excellence in perinatal care.

The service operates across three sub-teams (Wandsworth, Kingston & Richmond, Sutton & Merton), which come together weekly for meetings and case discussions. We also meet regularly as a whole service for reflective practice, complex case discussions, and business meetings to ensure smooth operations and collaborative service development. We encourage interdisciplinary training sessions and co-production with our service users., The Specialist Perinatal Service is a passionate, dynamic, and committed team looking to recruit a business manager to work alongside the Team Manager. Previous experience in perinatal mental health is not essential, as we pride ourselves on providing extensive training and development opportunities. We are dedicated to high-quality, evidence-based practice.

The successful candidate will receive a thorough induction with strong support to settle into the role. The team manages small caseloads of pregnant or post-natal women and birthing persons with moderate to severe mental illness, supporting them and their families during this critical time.

The post holder plays a key role in the Perinatal team by developing performance information, analysing data, submitting statutory returns, and supporting service improvement. They will also design and manage care group information systems and ensure their effective use by managers.

Additionally, the Business Manager leads business functions, producing performance reports, business cases, and collaborating with external agencies to achieve integrated information.
