Full Job Description

To provide analytical support and insight to help drive the understanding and improvement across all of the products and services that the Road Fleet team is responsible for. Provide timely and accurate performance deliverables (including reports) and maintain/improve models and tools used to understand performance. Deliver small business change or continuous improvement projects.

About the role (External)

Your Main Responsibilities will be to:

1. Lead the development and delivery of ad-hoc, weekly and periodic business information packs for the Road Fleet team against multiple, defined products and services.

2. Provide statistically based forecasts of performance, as required by the team. Support the development and tracking of performance targets and trajectories.

3. Provide performance information for use in supplier relationship management meetings.

4. Analyse and identify trends and root causes in performance using appropriate analytical techniques.

5. Lead on the use of visualisation and the production of the data to facilitate it.

6. Develop and maintain performance models using LEAN tools and techniques that enhance understanding of performance metrics and the relationships that exist between them.

7. Work with the wider Regional and Route Services teams so that the content of reports is fit for purpose and are aligned to the needs of the business.

8. Deliver, as directed, specific small improvement projects.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Strong research and analysis skills

· Demonstrable experience in analytical thinking with numerate and conceptual analysis capability

· Competent in statistical forecasting techniques

· Technical knowledge and experience of utilising vehicle telematics systems

· Excellent cross company stakeholder management

· Experience of working with a diverse fleet (cars, LCV’s, HGV’s and special vehicles)

· Strong data analysis skills (preferably Business Objects/NROL)

· Flair for problem solving (proven record of successful innovation and creativity)

· Competent user of EXCEL and PowerPoint

· Demonstrable application of continuous improvement techniques e.g. LEAN
