Are you an inspiring people leader with an enthusiasm for organising and helping others to get things done? Acting as a member of the Regional Business Services Leadership Team, your main focus will be on leading your team to innovate and improve our processes and to ensure that our Region is fully supported. What it's like to work here Your contractual location will be Scotney Castle and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview. What you'll be doing You'll lead a team of Business Services Coordinators who manage region-wide processes such as purchasing and data management, championing best practice when it comes to service, process and systems, and will be confident challenging the norm when you think there's a better way of doing something. You'll also be responsible for a specific area like liaising with our Consultancy Managers to prioritise the work coming through and help to broker resource across our Regional Team; or leading the Purchasing processes across the Region. Part of this role will be required to focus on the office arrangements at Scotney, build good relationships with Property staff and support an upcoming change to the working environment. On any given day you could be helping to arrange a region-wide event, liaising with external partners, working with our internal specialists, or looking at ways to review and improve a process. You could be coaching a team member to develop a new skill or leading a task/finish group to transform a service. You'll connect and form strong relationships with members of our Consultancy Management Team, with the other Regional Business Services Leads as well as being an active member of the National Business Services community.
- Administrative experience, successfully supporting across a range of tasks & aware of the value that Business Services can add
- Skilled IT user, happy to learn and explore new IT systems and help support others
- Highly organised and a confident multi-tasker
- Willing to adapt to different tasks to help the team
- Able to prioritise own workload
- Ability to spot how things fit together and explore how we can improve processes
- Ability to effectively communicate with, and influence, colleagues at various levels of seniority
- Experienced in line management or willing to develop in this area
