Full Job Description

The Business Support Assistant is responsible for undertaking administrative and data analyst duties, working in a team under the supervision of their line manager ensuring work tasks are completed on time and to the standards required by AfC. The role will form an integral part of AfC Virtual School's Business Hub supporting the School Business Manager (SBM) and Performance Analysis Manager (PAM), in many ways you will be the secondary gatekeeper to the school's Extended Duties data for the following cohorts: Children in Need, Child Protection (CiN & CP) and Kinship Care.

The role is hybrid, with an expectation that you will operate a mix of working from home as well as being office based in Twickenham. However, the successful candidate will be predominantly office based when they start, so we are able to provide key 1:1 training and the support needed. You will also be working closely with our partner agencies, internal and external stakeholders, it will be important for you to form strong working relationships to ensure you are able to meet the statutory deadlines of the service. You will have regular contact with our in borough schools including Designated Teachers, Designated Safeguarding Leads, Headteachers and Social Care colleagues etc. You may be asked to travel to any of our three local authorities, therefore access to public transport or a car will be required.
